I have sort of been under a rock the past few weeks. There is something about the time of year between Christmas and the start of the New Year that makes me feel uncertain, not good enough and downright sad. If you read my post from last year at the exact same time, I felt pretty much the same.
But I believe I am over that hump now and have slayed some BIG time fears that have me stepping boldly into my soul’s purpose – helping people transform their lives through their relationships!
Haven’t you been doing that all along you ask? Why yes, yes I have! The difference is I have been coming at it from an angle where I feel safe. A place where there might be less judgment. Leadership. You see I have always been successful in my career. I have not been so successful in love. Yet, I know that my souls calling is to help people find deep, meaningful and most importantly sustainable love in their relationships with their work, romantic partner, family and themselves.
I am particularly passionate about helping people create long term, juicy romantic partnerships!
I have held back from stepping fully into this because I am terrified of the judgment. Who are you to coach others or to write a book about relationships when you have not been successful at marriage? So I hide behind the safe mask of “leadership” where I may be deemed more credible.
Well guess what people. I know a hell of a lot about relationships!
Why? Because when you have challenges or “fail” at something, growth is always the result. Through all of my challenges, “research” and experiences I have learned A LOT. I have become extremely conscious about creating the relationship my hearts desires. When you quickly settle into your long term relationship, you tend to get on with life and not to invest as much effort into analyzing, learning or trying to understand what it takes to be successful. I have a huge investment of time increasing my awareness in an attempt to achieve my ultimate goal – Happily Ever After.
The other key factor in my journey is that I have experienced deep, meaningful, connected soulmate love. I know what it looks like and how it feels. I have been able to take that experience and compare to my other “research” from 2014 and the past and come to conclusions on what makes love passionate, connected, meaningful, soul inspired and therefore, sustainable.
But really, I just have a burning heart based desire to help people create passionate, connected relationships, whether they have not yet found “the one” or been married 20 years.
Even when I am playing it safe coaching leaders, we always go beyond their business objectives. We develop their personal relationships as well. The reality is that if their marriage is not working, they will have a much harder time focusing on and delivering their business objectives. Leaders with healthy, supportive partnerships perform better –period!
Here’s the thing. Each of us comes here to do something purposeful. Sometimes finding our way to our purpose can be messy. But in our brokenness and putting ourselves back together we become conscious. There are cracks in brokenness – space. Without these cracks there would be no place for our light to shine. That is what GLOW is all about – creating space for consciousness and letting your light shine through the cracks to inspire others.
